nope itz simple! let me explain let C = 1+2+3+..... then 4C= 4+8+12+.... therfore C-4C = (-3C) = 1-2+3-4+.... now the above equation is expanded form of 1/(1+x)^2 when x=1 so (-3C) = 1/4 dividing by (-3) on both sides gives you C = (-1/12 ) see! it as easy as it is :D happy mathing :)

n(n+1) / 2 (suppose n as last number of series) eg: 1+2+3+4+...+200 = 200 * 201 / 2 = 20100
