Objective:
Pre-listening, during which we help our students prepare to listen. There are certain goals that should be achieved before students attempt to listen to any text. These are motivation, contextualization and preparation.
Introduction: While-listening
Duration: 20 Minutes
Objective:
While listening, during which we help student to focus their attention on the listening text and guide the development of their understanding of it. Listening to spoken English, especially for learners with little or no exposure to the language, is an important way of acquiring it.
Introduction: Post-listening
Duration: 10 Minutes
Objective:
We help our students integrate what they have learnt from the Listening session into their existing knowledge.
Wrap-Up
Recapitulate the grammar games they played and discuss quickly about the topics discussed throughout the session. Ask them to reread the transcript shared and evaluate the task they have done during While listening Phase (Fill in the blanks) using transcript.
