IdentityI would like to apply as a remote tutor. I can teach a variety of subjects but my expertise is in eastern philosophy. My root tradition is Advaita Vedanta, and I have been initiated by multiple leading masters in the field. I have written multiple books and am active on quora.
I am also well read and well practiced in Buddhism, mainly Dzogchen, Madhyamaka and Mahamudra. I have studied Yoga and Ayurveda.
I do not speak conversational Sanskrit but I have a good hold on the relevant vocabulary. I am well read in Daoism, Zen and Sufism as well.
I have a decent background in western philosophy, as that is where I started, particularly with Socrates and Seneca. I am good with debate and reasoning. I am a US citizen and hold a US passport, but I live in Tiruvannamali, India. I would like to work from home but be able to teach students across the globe. I prefer teaching 1-on-1. I'd like to teach for an hour every day. I prefer my students to be fluent in English.
I can teach people of all ages. Please let me know if there is an opening for someone with my background. I studied engineering in college and have a full time job as an image processing and computer vision engineer and mentor, but that only takes about an hour a day. None of my academic or career based achievements reflect my knowledge or what I truly have to offer, so I prefer not to delve into them.
