Rather than discussing weight, we'll talk about mass. If you are aware of the conservation of energy theory, it is easier to understand. The mass which is burning has energy content in it expressed in terms of calorific value. This energy is converted into heat energy when it is burning. The flame is the portion which represents this process of energy conversion. Energy will be present only when an object has mass. Therefore it is understood that the flame should have mass if the conversion of energy is being exhibited in the zone of flame. Even after the flame ends, the exhaust gases are expelled out of the flame which too has mass. So if the flame has mass, then it has weight also!
