IdentityI Sujata Gawade. A kathak performer teacher and choreographer.
Sujata Gawade started her Dance journey at the age of 13. Her first Guru was Anuja Gandhi ji in Kankavali district, Maharashtra. She won many prizes in state level Folk dance festival of Maharashtra. And even performed in youth festival of Mumbai University in 2013-14. She further after completing her Graduation from Mumbai University joined Madhurita Saarang School of Kathak, Pune, where she Learnt from Guru Archana Anuradha Ji for 6years.She worked under Archana Anuradha ji and she taught students of MSSP (Madhurita Sarang School of performing Arts,Pune) for 6years. She did her Post Diploma from Kathak kendra, New Delhi under Guru Pt. Rajendra Kumar Gangani ji simultaneously she completed her Post Graduation in Kathak from Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya. She has also done 'Alankar' from Akhil Bhartiya Gandharv Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Mumbai.
She has performed in different states in the choreographies of Many Kathak Maestros like Guru Pt. Rajendra Kumar Gangani ji, Pt. Deepak Maharaj ji, Smt. Jayanti Mala ji, Smt. Rani Khanum ji, Smt. Archana Anuradha ji and Young Kathak Exponents like Sh. Dheerendra Tiwari ji, Smt. Kavita Thakur ji, Sh. Sadanand Biswas Ji, Smt. Swati Sinha Ji
She did Internship from Kathak Kendra, New Delhi.
Worked at National Institute of Kathak, Kathak Kendra new delhi as a Repertory artist for one and half year.
Now working as a Freelance Artist.
