This course is based on the syllabus of the University of Mumbai, designed specially for the students of BMS.
The students will learn the basics of taxation, such as how the tax on various incomes is calculated, some of the tax saving investments provided by the government, and which kind of income is taxable in the territory of India, etc.
The syllabus and notes provided are according to the pattern of the University exams.
Students will receive printed notes for practice and, towards the end of the course, theory notes for objective questions and short notes/brief answers in PDF format. Printed notes for the same will be available at extra cost.
Even though the course is designed for the students of BMS, it can be attended by anyone who wishes to learn.
For this course, the students will have to maintain and carry:
- 200 pages long book for classwork
- 200 pages long book for homework
- All the stationeries (pens, pencils, long scale, erasers & sharpeners)
- Calculator (12 digit)
NOTE: Long books must be of proper size (A4 or similar). Small books are not allowed as taxation sums need full pages.
