Tanaz I.

I run an independent studio of music tutoring 50 students and have taught for nearly 9 years having completed my Licentiate and Diplomas in music from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, UK (ABRSM). I have also completed and audited courses in music theory, harmony, music history, piano pedagogy, piano repertoire. I have read and attended workshops in Kodaly and Dalcroze methods for musical development in children. Most of my students are distinction holders in exams and winners and finalists in national piano competitions. I continue to update my professional and pedagogical skills via international music festivals and workshops in music education in Singapore and Hungary. I teach in private and group lesson formats and host recitals regularly for my students to encourage them to perform.
I am currently working on the Associate diploma of Trinity College London in the teachers' stream and the Licentiate of Trinity College. I am furthering my education the following year in Music Education toward a Masters degree.
I have performed at venues in Mumbai and Pune including the Mazda Hall, Russian Centre for Culture and Sciences and National Center of Performing Arts (NCPA). I was recommended for the Hilla Khursedje Award for sight reading in the Licentiate exam. I have also been finalist and second place winner in national piano competitions. My primary aim is to train musicians before pianists from a very young age where the seeds of music may be sown.
