Go for Canon's EOS L-series lenses, if you are serious about wildlife photography - 200mm or above (with 1.6x factor for DSLRs, it becomes 320mm or higher) . Zoom lenses cause distortion, hence compromise on image quality - but provide greater flexibility compared to fixed focal length lenses. However, L-series lenses are very expensive, even though picture quality is unmatchable. For serious photography use a Canon 650D/700D or 7D body. EOS 1200D is good, but very basic and for beginners only

wanted to know about latest Single lens reflex for wildlife?

(reposting - as I found my last post did not go where intended) I would suggest to go for Canon's EOS L-series lenses, if you are serious about wildlife photography - 200mm or above (with 1.6x factor for DSLRs, it becomes 320mm or higher) . (reposting - as I found my last post did not go where intended) I would suggest to go for Canon's EOS L-series lenses, if you are serious about wildlife photography - 200mm or above (with 1.6x factor for DSLRs, it becomes 320mm or higher) . Zoom lenses cause distortion, hence compromise on image quality - but provide greater flexibility compared to fixed focal length lenses. However, L-series lenses are very expensive, even though picture quality is unmatchable. For serious photography use a Canon 650D/700D or 7D body. EOS 1200D is good, but very basic and for beginners only. 600D is a decent, but slightly dated model - succeeded by 650D (which has a swivel LCD screen + other upgrades)
