Hi, I’m Dr Vijayakumar Krishnakumar, academic personnel and an aspiring digital asset trainer. I founded the ‘Docent’ E-learning platform to transform the broken education system. I’m on a mission to help 100,000 College and University academic personnel achieve success in their careers, by providing insights on creating course content with innovative digital pedagogy, to empower their students’ attainment. ‘Docent’ also provides simplified and power-packed courses to engineering students, to equip them with needed industrial expertise to make them ‘Job Ready’. Dr. VIJAYAKUMAR KRISHNAKUMAR was born in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, in November 1986. He received his UG degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, in 2009 and his ME degree in Power Electronics and drives from Anna University, Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, India, in 2011. He also received his MBA in Operations Management from SRM University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India 2016. He received his PhD from Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education, Krishnankoil, India in 2021. Since July 2011, he has been working in the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education, Krishnankoil, Virudhunagar District, Tamil Nadu India. He has also been a consultant to several startups dealing with renewable power generation systems and automation. He has attended several international conferences, and he has been actively involved in research since 2013. His current research interests include power electronic converters for grid-connected systems, converters for E-vehicles, and drive control for e-mobility. He has actively participated in various faculty development programs, symposiums, orientation programs, workshops and national seminars. He received the Digital Competency Award in 2019 for the best digital pedagogy used in teaching and learning. He is a Google Certified Educator and IATD-certified trainer.
