My learning was started during 1968 from Gauhati. I was guided by the Kesab Changkakoti, deciple of Ustad Keramatulla, Promad Chakraborty deciple of Pt. Kumar Bahadur (Dhaka), Pt. Ram Kumar Sharma, Pt. Modanmohan Upadhaya for Pakhwaj .

Which instrument is harder to learn, congas or tablas?

All instruments are hard before learning. But after learning it became easy to play from a Guru

Will electronic tablas replace the traditional tablas?

For modern age the electronic instrument is lucrative besides comfortable carrying from one place to other. On the other hand electronic media is paying less those who have not any electronic instrument like handsonic.

No never. Original leather sound could not replaced by electronic instrument.
