I started to learn tabla from very childhood from shri paraes chandra barman and later on I took lesson from eminent tabla player pandit Radha Kanta Nandi and then from my guru pandit Anil Palit of Benaras Gharana for 30 years in guru shishya parampara tradition.I obtained senior diploma in vocal classical from Allahabad Prayag sangeet samity.I have accompanied with many eminent artistes of India viz.Pt.Jamini Ganguly, ustad Abdul rasid khan,Padmabibhusan Pt v.G.Jog Surashree Kalyani Roy,Pt.Sreekand Bakre ,Ustad Maskur ali khan,Pt Shymal Chatterjee Pt Dulal ray ,Pt Monoj Sankar and many others.Now Iam a regular Tabla player of AII INDIA RADIO AND DOORDARSHAN and Examiner of Prayag sangeet samity, Allahabad.
