I have been a teacher for over 31 years teaching biology to grade 10,11 and 12 in CBSE/ICSE. Over the years my students have gone on to become scientists, researchers, doctors, bio technologists, cell biologists and many more in the field of biology. Armed with a B.Ed , it has been a privilege to impart the valuable knowledge I have gained in the subject to young pupils under my care. I have been particularly fascinated by genetics and environmental science as it brings about a vibrant, challenging and intriguing learning area.

A passionate educator with around 30 years of experience in the field of education of which 20 years have been spent in moving up the leadership ladder. I am currently the vice principal at the millennium school- dubai, a position that I have held since 2018. My journey in the education sector began in 1992 as a teacher at high school, teaching biology and chemistry to young pupils of grade 8,9 and 10. At the millennium school-dubai, my teaching expanded to grade 11 and 12, where I continue to teach biology- a subject which I am extremely fond of. My stint with the millennium school, began in 2003 and through the years, I have had the unique privilege of donning the roles of house teacher ( pastoral care), head of department- science, supervisor- middle school, head of section- middle and senior school and now as vice principal. These years have also been most fruitful as I engaged with the dsib inspections through preparation of school development plans, school self evaluations, action plans, data analysis and intervention plans as well as meeting inspectors to explain the schools vision and strategies on inclusion, leadership, progress and attainment, teaching, learning and assessment. I am also the child protection and safeguarding lead at school - a role that has helped me work towards understanding the child protection laws of uae and its implementation to ensure a safe learning environment for students. In my role as vice principal, I practice and train teachers on the pedagogical approaches of flipped lessons, engaging in master class and tutorials, preparing self paced learning modules , use of visible thinking routines, skill based assessments and preparation of student learning portfolios. I have also successfully completed the leadership and pedagogy assessment for licensing under moe.
