Why JAVA is Platform Independent?

Java is platform independent language because Java has a JVM {Java Virtual Machine} which converts a java code into a byte code which can run on any OS. That means, JVM is working as a sub-platform to convert java source code into byte code.

•       Java code file extension is ".java" and byte code file extension is ".class"
•      To install java in a computer(which have any OS) we need to get jdk s/w{Java Develpoment Kit}

                          JDK = JVM + Java language + Packages(java classes){Static/Generic}

    Selenium WebDriver Jars,AXIS 2 jars are developed as Java classes and available as jar files. If anything is available as jars, we need to download and assosiate these jars to Eclipse IDE. So,SWD jars need to be assosiated to Eclipse IDE.
