Teaching Experience in detail in Guitar Classes
I started teaching when friends started approaching me to learn guitar. I've been actively teaching for over 4 years now. I prefer teaching a person one to one. In my opinion this results in the best transmission and reception of knowledge. I have a very unorthodox way of teaching. I don't believe in following any rules while learning/teaching guitar (or any instrument for that matter). It entirely depends on the interest level and aptitude of the person. Some people grasp chords faster, and some scales. I find it more important to identify that in a person rather than go by the book. Also finger independence of the fretting hand is a very important to have. So I spend a lot of time in that with students. I've mostly taught people between the age group of 12-25 (although I think age is never a barrier in learning any instrument as long as the person is really driven from within). The feedback which I have received from the people that I have taught, is that I'm good at getting people through the first two months of learning a guitar (which is the most difficult and boring period in learning any instrument) in a very interesting and efficient manner.
