I started learning tabla around 1982. I passed tabla bisharad in 1988 from Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapeeth Loskhnow board. I studied under gurujee pandit Jnianprakash Ghose 1987/1988. It was Lansdowne Sourabh college.Then I started learning from gurujee ustad Sabir Khan(1984 onwards). I taught tabla at Banichacra music and dance college.I used to teach tabla at Ballygunge Technique and Music college. Bisides I visited many houses in Kolkata and thaught them. Compatible with all types of classical and commercial music. I teach tabla very carefully. Students of all ages can learn. I have also received many awards.
