IdentityI am a registered dietician from IDA. I have 8 years work experience in a multispeciality hospital in mumbai. Having worked in a hospital I have got the opportunity to solve many medical cases where nutrition was very important like post surgical cases, burns, pediatric nutrition and the most important are the cases in the ICU. Enteral nutrition has been an integral part of my profession. It takes efforts to cure people who are immuno compromissed. Weight loss and weight gain also go hand in hand. My experience has helped me apply my knowledge right from the basics of food pyramid to the calculation of the feeds for ryles tube feeds and planning ketogenic diets for epileptic patients.
As a part of my duties I have also planned menus for patients that they would be comfortable in and that goes well with their disease condition.
I have also done presentations in seminars and written articles for newspapers and magazines.
I also have experience of teaching this subject to a group of students in the past.
I have headed the dietetics department for 2 years and trained students who came in for their hospital internship.
