If you're passionate about music you wouldn't have asked this. But yes, if you want to stand out, then you should learn something that differs you from others. In a way, learning a new thing will give you more confidence and helps your lifestyle to stay disciplined. After you successfully learn guitar, you can sing along while playing, or you can just play keeping You and your surroundings with fresh and positive vibes for it is the nature of music.

You can learn any thing first. But learning hard will make your go ease with things that are less harder. Acoustic guitars are hard to learn for pressing the strings on acoustic guitar frets are a little painful to the tips of the fingers and also the best way to start with. Electric guitar strings are easy and need less pressure to press but after you go to the acoustic guitar, it'll become difficult to play propely.
