In programming or in operating system context, One end is basically used to read and other end for writing.
Python Syntax:-
r, w = os.pipe() # Pipe Created for Read and Write
os.close(w) #close write before reading it
r = os.fdopen(r) print "reading" str = r.read()
os.close(r) #close reading before writing
w = os.fdopen(w, 'w') #open Writing end
print "writing"
w.write("Text written..")
w.close() read less
