This question is a bit difficult to answer! Nothing can be learned in a week,one can only get started in it! Of course to get started in Python in a week is easy! Just consult 2 or 3 good books and give 2 to 3 hours per day on learning how to program in Python(by writing simple programs in it) and by the end of the week,you will be ready to really dive deep into the language!
We just have to start writing simple programs first,lots of it and then we can go to learning the advanced stuff!

Its all depend upon you . Are you familiar with other programming language? If yes then you can learn it in no time . If no then i think learning python in a week woulnt be a challenge but it is not recommended. Be slow but steady with learning. If a week is all you got then start learning you sure will endup in a better position. There are tons of online tutorial on youtube.
