I am academic research scholar and Kathak exponent, with more than 20 years of teaching and performing Kathak. I have learnt directly in the Guru-Shishya Parampara from SNA awardee and Padmashri Dr. Shovana Narayan. I am trained in the Lucknow as well as Jaipur style of Kathak. I have performed extensively, recieved high critical acclaim nationally, as well as received three national level awards for Kathak. I have vast knowledge on other Indian classical dance forms, as well as new directions in Indian dance, choreography, German dance theatre, contemporary dance. I hold a degree of M.Phil in German studies, and have studied also the Natyashastra. I conduct online Kathak workshops as well as teach at my home.
