Hi all I am working as web designer. I get psd file from graphic Geithner and convert them working website using front end technologies html css javascript and bootstrap etc. I want to become ui developer. What should I learn for that? CMS like WordPress or angular 2.

Hi Asha, this is really good thought that you are thinking to shift in UI Development and thinking about itâ??s your first step. I also came from the same background. Initially worked on Photoshop, HTML,CSS,Responsive Development. There is an one issue with this industry like now a day they are expecting everything under one label which is UI Developer. Now company will expect from UI developer - He/She should work on CSS, HTML, Browser Compatibility, Responsive, Bootstrap, SaaS, task manager like gulp, webpack, - Second they will also expect that developer should be expert in JavaScript Object Oriented programming - Now to work in Object Oriented programming you need to really pull your sleeves, when you say to learn language it itself is a vast topic. Now how to shift the gear, because for survival and growth you have to learn it. - Start to learn any language, the people who are already working in some of the other language like PHP, Java, .net they can easily shift to angularJS or react JS or pure JavaScript development and the reason is that they have collection of logic where simple UI Developer (HTML,CSS,Bootsrap) lacks and vice a versa as a front end full stack developer I have seen they are not at par for HTML,CSS,Bootsrap, browser compatibility How to start in programming? As I said start any language you can start with PHP/.net/Java/JavaScript will be common one strong back end language will be good or you can start with JavaScript also. Make your mind to learn it - Initially you may face it is difficult because the person who see all the time colorful and creative stuff can get easily bored with logical exercise. Choose proper mentor who can guide you, and learn the programming basic strongly. During your training you may get frustration but that is obvious that is the signal that you are doing something. I would recommend you to go professional trainer there are lots of online tutorial also, initially you can refer that. But there is no replacement of personnel interaction where you can have right pointers and different perspective of the same topic. It will definitely take time, give time for that, go slowly first and push yourself bit. Hope this will help you, all the best.

Hi Shubham, I am glad that at this age you are thinking about this. There is as such no age limit. You can go for that....but once you get into this you have to make balance between your study and web design because this is very addictive :) There are lot to come in web technologies appart from designing. If you are good in Math go for programming. Look for some JavaScript programming along with design. Don't stuck in design, grab it, learn it and move ahead.

Hi Sujata, As such there is no eligibility criteria to learn web design as long as you know how to operate computer and passion to learn it. But if you are looking it as a career then along with web design skills you must have basic education criteria to apply in company like BA, BCA, COMMERCE, DIPLOMA, BE etc. This will depend on company what combination they will required. Go ahead....search lot on web, improve your observation skills, design patterns, color theory, typography this will definitely help you to understand basic requirements
