Dr.A.Swaroopa R.

Dr. A. Swaroopa Rani born in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, and did her schooling from kendriya Vidyalaya, Hyderabad, then graduated from Osmania University, Hyderabad & she did her double graduation one from O.U & M.Tech, Biotechnology from JNTU, Hyderabad. She continued her studies further by doing Ph.D from reputed national research CSIR institute â??Indian Institute of Chemical Technologyâ??, Hyderabad. She was the recipient of CSIR & ICMR fellowship from Govt. of India. She was awarded with UGC â?? research Associateship grant, Govt of India and received first best poster award in IIChe and more during her Ph.D days.

She has completed her two post doctoral training at faculty des sciences St. Jerome University, Marseille, France and the other one at SJT University, China. Apart from this she has visited more than five other countries. She is presently Sr. Assistant Professor in Dept of Biotechnology, JNTUA College of Engg Pulivendula, A.P. Past worked as Assistant Professor in JNTUH, Kukatpally, Hyderabad. She also served as Coordinator, Research & Development Cell, JNTUH, Kukatpally, Hyderabad for a period of three years from 2010-2013.

She was Head, Dept of Biotechnology, JNTU, Pulivendula & as well as at Centre for Biotechnology, IST, JNTUH, Kukatpally, Hyderabad. She has more than Ten years of teaching and 15 years of research experience. She has been elected as fellow of SAB & A.fellow of TAS and she is a life member of many Professional bodies/Societies at national & International level. Editorial board member and reviewer for few international journals. She has published more than 30 research articles in reputed National & international journals and more than 30 oral/ full length presentations, invited talks, sessions judge, chair person in international conferences.

She is the Governing body member, member board of studies, fact finding committees & subject expert in various panels for other universities as well. Currently as a research supervisor guiding students for Ph.D apart from guiding M.Tech & B.Tech projects, and has two ongoing major research grants from Govt of India in the area of bio chemical Engg & Biofuel technology funded by DST (Rs: 46.0 lakhs) & UGC (Rs: 15.3 lakhs), Govt. of India.
