In an Octave of a piano there are seven white keys and five black keys. In a Piano white keys are represented by first seven letters of english alphabet i.e. A, B, C, D, E, F, G but the sequence starts from C in a Piano or Keyboard i.e. C, D, E, F, G, A, B. In between these seven white keys there are five black keys in between, C & D, D & E, F & G, G & A and A & B respectively. The name are as under : -
1) C sharp / D flat (C#/Db) - Between C & D
2) D sharp / E Flat (D#/Eb) - Between D & E
3) F sharp /G Flat (F#/Gb) - Between F & G
4) G sharp /A flat (G#/Ab) - Between G and A
5) A sharp /B flat (A#/Bb) - Between A and B
