My name is Muneeba and I am from Karachi, Pakistan. I am currently in the final semester of my undergraduate in Biomedical Engineering and intend to pursue my master's in Neuroscience afterwards.
Teaching has been my passion for as long as I can remember. From high school to college and till the university life , I had countless experiences of teaching in various formal and informal settings. I also had an experience of giving mentoring sessions to various Canadian students during my 3 months long Mitacs Globallink Research Internship program at Western University, London, Ontario.
I consider myself eligible to teach Biology and Mathematics in a professional manner as these have always been my subjects of interest and I can teach them with passion and determination. My grades have been consistently at the top in these subjects. For this reason, I chose Biology as a major during my secondary education and even in bachelors, I studied Bio-Medical Engineering which further enhanced my knowledge and skills in this area. I am currently achieving the top position in my batch with a CGPA of 3.896/4
I believe that every individual has a unique way and pace of learning and making concepts. Hence, I first intend to access the teaching method which is the best suitable for every individual student in which they grasp the knowledge in the best possible manner.
In general, I opt for using animated videos as they are an amusing way to understand concepts, which become way more boring by just reading out slides during traditional classroom lectures. However, to make the session interactive, I use an online whiteboard as it gives everyone a classroom feeling.
I take assessments on a weekly basis to enable the students to judge their progress. By doing so, they don't have to worry about getting everything into their minds one night before the exam and will be done with their preparation way before their finals.
