This course is designed to ignite creativity and innovation in web designs. The course is structured to accomodate a wide audience, the beginners, the professionals and everyone in-between.
By the end of this course students should expect to:
- Be well versed with the programming and design tools such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, Adobe Illustrator and a few web helpers like Wordpress, and many more.
- Have a highly professional and well layed out portfolio to showcase to future employers or collaborators.
- Be able to research, design, prototype new user experience in collaboration with various stakeholders.
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and sitemaps to communicate interaction and design ideas.
This course does not require any programming or coding experience.
The course is broken down into 4 main catergories namely:
1. Web Design Principles (Theory with demonstrations)
2. Coding skills (hands-on practical)
3. Design skills (hands-on practical)
4. Portfolio projects (hands-on practical)
The portfolio projects have been structured with the recruiter in mind, hence students are encouraged to submit their best work. Each project is based on a typical task a web designer is expected to perform in the workforce.
