- Using volumetric lighting for atmosphere
- Gobo lighting and textured light effects
Week 3: Interior & Exterior Cinematic Lighting
- Simulating natural light sources (sunlight, moonlight, artificial)
- Balancing interior and exterior lighting exposure
- Using LightMix for dynamic lighting variations
- Realistic window and lamp lighting techniques
Week 4: Character & Portrait Lighting in V-Ray
- Lighting for cinematic character close-ups
- Understanding subsurface scattering (SSS) for skin shading
- Soft vs. dramatic portrait lighting styles
- Enhancing character depth with rim and bounce light
Week 5: Final Cinematic Shot & Post-Production
- Setting up a complete cinematic lighting scene
- Rendering with V-Ray Frame Buffer and AOVs
- Color grading and compositing in Photoshop/Nuke
- Final portfolio rendering and industry best practices
