About the Course

Who is this course for?

This course is for working professionals who want to enter functional programming world through Scala. The attendee is expected to have knowledge of Object Oriented Programming in practical sense.

What is the purpose of this course?

It is a fundamental course on Scala. After finishing the course, the attendee would be proficient in scala and functional programming and would be able to participate in developing applications.

How the course is conducted?

Functional programming is a different paradigm and it is recommended to the attendee(s) to go with a slow pace as it is very important to understand and realize the basic concepts, patterns and designs of functional programming. The duration of the course is 40 hours which include hands on training as well as home tasks. 3 sessions per week - each of 2-3 hours is what we suggest. It is always beneficial to study in a batch of 2-3 students as they can discuss among themselves about different topics which enriches their knowledge. The sessions will be taken online through Skype. A private community would be created per batch in some social platform so that the learning could be effective and the students can collaborate online. The attendees need to have their own system (laptop/desktop) to attend the sessions and to do the hands on.

Course Fees

The course fee is INR 20000 per head. 50% of the course fee needs to be paid in advance to start the course. The rest of the amount needs to be paid before starting the last week of the course.
