1) This is for beginner students of Hindustani Classical Music.
2) The Akhil Bharitya Gandharva syllabus will be followed (according to the first level of the exam)
3) All the material will be provided and will be shared on the platform.
4) You can bring a recording equipment for your practise reference.
5) Group of max five students will be present.
6) The students can send in practise recordings during the week.
7) Alankars and Raag Bhoop, Durga, Yaman compositions will be covered in this level.
8) Knowledge of Taal : Teen Taal, Rupak Taal, Ek Taal, Jhap Taal, Keherwa, Dadra.
9) Knowledge of Taanpura and Tabla will be discussed. With picture references.
10) Theory material with definitions of various musical terms and terminologies.
11) Raag covered : Bhoop/Bhupali, Bhimpalasi, Kafi, Durga, Khamaj, Bhageshree, Des.
12) Recognising swara patterns. Listening to a group of swaras and identifying swaras.
13) Singing Alankars with taal.
14) Detailed description of Raag in the syllabus : Thaat, Swara, Laya, Aaroha, Avaraha, Vaadi, Samvaadi.
