This class is for students of IV semester of Rajasthan Technical University doing a course on EC Engineering. The title of the course is Random Variables and Stochastic processes. The lessons will be offered unit wise as per the Rajasthan Technical University Syllabus. Students from other Universities may seek additional lessons if there is a change in their syllabus.

Topics Covered

The topics to be covered will include 1. Probability and basic concepts of probability including conditional and independence of events, theorems on probabilitly etc. 2. Concept of a random variable, discrete and continuous random variables - examples 3. moments of random variables, mathematical expectation, additon and multiplication of expectation of random variables. 4. Special distributions - binomial, poisson, normal, etc.. 5 characteristics of different distributions - real life applications 6 joint and conditional distributions, independence of random variables.. 7 stochastic process - nature and types of stochastic processes, properties of stochastic processes etc.
