This form of traditional mud and mirror work originates from the Kutch region of Gujrat. It has been used for ceturies to decorate homes.
Teaching Lippan Art often begins with the hands on demonstration of how to prepare the base, clay work, mirror work. A a teacher I have to break down all this process into a very easy, interactive way so that students can develop interests in it. A a teacher it is a fulfilling experience for me too.
