In this free Japanese language master class, students will be introduced to the basics of the Japanese language and culture. The class will begin with common greetings and essential conversational phrases used in everyday scenarios. Emphasis will be placed on understanding polite expressions and the appropriate use of honorifics, which are a key part of Japanese communication.
Participants will also get a brief introduction to the Japanese writing systems — Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji. While the focus will be on Hiragana, students will gain insight into how these systems work together in written communication. Additionally, the class will cover basic sentence structures, pronunciation tips, and cultural gestures that add meaning to conversations.
Through interactive exercises, role-playing activities, and cultural insights, students will not only practice speaking but also build a foundational understanding of Japanese customs. By the end of the session, attendees will feel confident in using simple Japanese phrases and understanding the cultural context behind them.
