The topic of the class would be: The Sentence

This is the most basic topic of English grammar.  This topic lays the foundation for clauses, phrases, etc.

We will be dealing with the classification of Sentences which would include divisions based on Structure and function of sentences.

We will look into each type in brief since you all have studied this topic since Class 7. After understanding each of the types, we will learn to differentiate between the types and then try to interchange the sentence.

Practice questions for converting and transforming sentences will be available during the lecture. I will also provide you with the answers.

Modals

Subject Verb Concord

Tenses

Active and Passive Voice

Reported Speech

Determiners

The sequence of topics can be adjusted as per need.

I will try to explain both in English and Hindi. My motive is that you understand the most basic concepts. This will help not only in writing but during verbal communication too!
