This one-time class is designed to assess the playing level of the student. This will be done in three parts:

1. Practise game with me- I will play a game with the student and try to understand the student's reasoning process while playing and analyze the game.

2. Tactics- In this section the ability to solve chess puzzles will be assessed and the highest difficulty level puzzles the student can solve will be determined. 

3. Chess Theory Knowledge- Chess has three main parts- Openings, middlegame and endgame. I will ask questions about some basic important concepts from each part to assess the level of knowledge the student has regarding each. 

Optional: If the student already has an online account on chess.com or lichess.org and has played games on this platform- I will look at the student's past games and analyze them to point out common mistakes and strength's of the student. 

At the end of the class I will provide the student with recommendations regarding improving game. I will also provide the student with an actionable plan after the class.
