This course is oriented for the B.Tech Electrical students in 8th semester. The course cobvers the necessary syllabus of the 8th semester subject - Aletrnative Energy Sources. In some curriculums, its also listed as Renewable Energy.
The course covers the following topics:
- Introduction to Aletrnative Energy Sources
- Conventional versus Non-Conventional Energy Sources
- Solar Energy and related topics around usage and conversion of the solar energy - like Solar thermal energy, Sloar Cells and electricity plants/farms
- Wind energy and electric plants/farms
- Biomass and bio-gas plants
- Other sources of energy like Geothermal, Fuel Cells and MHD
Notes would be given in the class as well, so students should bring notebook and a pen.
