Bharatanatyam is an Indian Classical Dance form that originated in Tamil Nadu. It is one of eight Indian classical dance forms recognized by the Sangeet Natak Akademi, and expresses South Indian religious themes and spiritual ideas, particularly of Shaivism and in general of Hinduism.
The theoretical foundations of Bharatanatyam are found first in Kootha Nool in Tamil and then referred also in Natya Shastra, a Sanskrit text of performance arts.
In this Master Class, we will learn about the Nritta, Nritya and Natya aspects of Bharatanatyam.

This class is an introductory session. Medium of conduct will be in English but the teacher can also speak Hindi, Gujarati, Malayalam and Tamil. It is open to anyone above the age of 6 years (It is difficult to capture the attention for students below this age and it is difficult for them to understand too).
