This course is focussed on basic drafting methods for kids wear paper patterns. Here you will learn conversion of basic bodice and sleeve blocks into stylized patterns. You will be taught three types of girls' frock patterns - A-Line Frock pattern, Wastline Frock Pattern with a shaped neckline, Hipline Frock pattern, Puffy Sleeve and Cap Sleeve pattern. You will learn pattern layout & cutting of two types of frock styles. Finally you will learn consttuction and sewing of two stylized kids wear classic frock designs. Lot of demo videos will be used to explain the pattern adaptation methods, sewing methods and also details regarding choice of fusibles, trims and fasterners that are most apt for kids wear clothing items. You will be guided to choose the right kind of fabrics with prints that are suitable only for little girls frock designs. The subject is mostly practical and this requires some basic sewing and drawing skills for all those students who wish to learn fashion designing for kids wear.
