Photoshop and Illustrator both are premier graphic design software. It is totally depends on the type of illustration. Illustrations are typically created on paper before being scanned and colorized in a graphics program. As previously stated, Illustrator allows us to create clean, extendable graphics, many of which can be easily reused. For clean, graphical illustrations.
Whereas Photoshop is better suited for photo-based illustrations that require meticulous detail and photo manipulation. Most illustrators will use a combination of both in many cases; it all depends on the type of illustration you're creating.

Not exactly. Photoshop can read image metadata such as EXIF data and we can choose to preserve or remove EXIF metadata when you work with files. Consumer color printers do embed hidden codes in your printouts. These codes identify the type, model, and serial number of the printer and date of printing in a pattern of tiny yellow dots. This is called a "machine identification code" and it's added by the printer's firmware.
The only data I can think of otherwise is file type and size, resolution. But if you think Adobe is hiding code for some nefarious reason then no. If such a thing were to happen coders would break the news very quickly.
Especially if you want to create small internet files and photoshop is bloating them with “information”. Many image file formats allow for extra data, and photoshop is using it where it can to add that this image was saved with photoshop.
