IdentityI prefer to give online tutoring. I have two degrees: a Bachelor's in 2 majors, which are Psychology and Child Learning & Development, and Master's in Industrial and Organizational Psychology (AKA Business Psychology). I achieved honors in both subjects with a GPA of 4.0 in my Master's.
My key skills rely on my being able to connect with my students. Not only will I improve their grades, I improve their life skills. I can teach how to note-take properly, take studying seriously, motivate oneself, give onself a great self-efficacy, to say the least. I studied the schema of pedagogy very well due to my being a teaching assistant in the subject of Educational Psychology (to the Psychology Department head in the University of Texas at Dallas).
I am not here to throw psychology jargon at you, don't you worry my friends. I am here to say that I know how to teach, which I took as an official class, and taught said class with my professor. I am fabulous at PPTs, Prezis, making educational videos, and so on, which I have done in my high school and middle school years.
A few of my accomplishments include as follows:
1) saving my maternal grandfather by doing CPR just in time to send him to the hospital
2) finishing my college education in two years
3) finishing my master's education in 1.5 years
4) working as a Crisis Counselor and saving 3 lives at one time
5) being a certified nurse aide and electrocardiogram technician while juggling 10th, 11th, and 12th grades/classes
6) finished two college math courses and every course my high school had to offer by 11th grade/class
7) coaching students well above my age even at the age of 13 years
My hobbies are writing poetry, reading books (ranging from Jane Austen and Charles Dickens to Dan Brown's the Da Vinci Code), meditating, playing the piano and flute, listening to music of all styles (recently stuck on Crystalised by The xx), and drinking water to keep up with the weather in Delhi. I am used to 46 degrees Celsius growing up in Texas, but this is a different kind of heat!
All jokes aside, I believe that I am a positive person and can provide that same energy to someone else. Like my professor said, "You can teach someone anything as long as they are willing by your starting at their level of knowledge," and I always bring that to the table when I am teaching someone.
