If you are looking for building a solid foundation in Electronics, I will suggest "Electronic Devices and Circuit Theory" by Louis Nashelsky and Robert Boylestad. Also, "Microelectronic Circuits" (The Oxford Series in Electrical and Computer Engineering) by Adel S Sedra and Kenneth C Smith is another standard textbook that is very good to grab the concepts.
