Section 1.1: In this section, you will learn about the methods of asexual reproduction where a single individual or the parent is competent enough to produce an offspring. Section 1.2: In this portion of chapter 1 of biology, you will study how the gametes of a male and female fuse together to form into one unit, called the zygote. This zygote then develops to form a new organism, their offspring. Sexual reproduction is a complex and slow process. The result is that the offsprings that are produced are not identical to their parents.
