Thanks..it's really strange thing,but we had experienced the same thing for my elder son ,though we stayed in the same place as we r staying now,his form got rejected,so we really don't know on what criteria they do the selection.

Total fees we had to pay was RS 97,750,
Admission fee was just Rs 5000 and the rest were the tution fees.

I have visited NPS' since their admission process started and what i read on their notice board was a list of priorities, i.e., 7 criterias to filter the applications.
1. Siblings
2. Alumni of the school
3. Teachers and staff
4. Nationally mobile
5. NRIs
6. Expats
7.students from closer vicinity

And in Kormangla branch, the seats were only 30 and in Indiranagar it was 36. even though we live withing 2/3 kms of the school we were not considered because our priority number was 7. i agree its not fair to us but then they will have to have some form of filtration of applications and this is their's. «less

And also i know for sure that at NPS HSR the distance is no priority. there existing students come from as far as Whitefield and they have called for admissions from afar also if they come under any of the top 6 out of 7 criteria.

Well Friends I called to NPS yesterday and asked about the number of seats for 2012-13. I came to know there was only 60 seats. I dont think distance from school is playing crucial role. As I tried for NPS HSR which was just 1.5km from my house but could not get the seat there also. What I am thinking is age and sibling in same school is most crucial criteria. My daughter was born on 15.09.2008. As they have considered till June 30th age as 3yr 10 months for LKG so even 1.5 month short also they have not considered. please share if someone has other experiences as well. This may be helpful next year.
@Pranali: Just wanted to know what is the per annum tution fees they are asking. What is the admission amount they have asked to deposit. As you will be best person to say since you have got the call---------------------- «less

Thanks Pranali. My guess is that distance was crucial. Of course they must be using many other criteria as well.
Any reasons to move to NPS for the other kid? Was there any negative experience with the Valley School?
PS: You kid's DOB is the date of my marriage :-)

Well, don't think there is any fixed "formula", but here are some of the details:
DOB 11/7/2008 , Dist.-2 KM , Silbling in "valley school", mother housewife.

I don't think any conclusions can be drawn from this,but still..
