How many Indian coaches have you found that understand the basic principles of how motor learning and skill acquisition works? Football players are not same as track athletes - and so their training has to start early and has to be very sport specific. On a one-to-one isolated training - the game cannot be learned. YES - you read that right and any other coach telling you to make your child a pro by training the child alone is scamming you. How many coaches have you met who know how periodization works? How many coaches can explain you exactly why they are doing a particular drill? I take my work as a coach very seriously as it is a burden and a privilege - so I need you, as parents or students to take your time seriously if you want to invest in the game. That being said - the best part about my work is to wrap and package skill learning activities in fun games that result in the player falling in love with the game and also acquiring the rights skills and techniques to execute when they play in a team. I guarantee if you coach under me for 3 months - any coach in any team will be happy to have you as their player. I also run an academy with a partner where I serve as a technical director overseeing curriculum, analysis, player development, and coaching pedagogy and also conducting sessions for all our teams including the Men's Senior Team (Competing in MFA 3rd Div).
