Overview

Started Teaching Editing in January 2009 in Digital Academy. Worked with Digital Academy for almost 5 years till November 2013, Then I started my own Editing class, and also work as a visiting faculty in various Institutes including Xaviers Institute of Communication and Whistling Wood International.
Teaching is my passion. And I love to create new talents for Bollywood, I have done my APPLE Certification in FCP non-linear editing software and have achieved 99% in the exams which is highest till date. I also have an experience in film and television Editing and Direction of over 15 years in all.
At present many of my students are working as professional technicians in Bollywood and Television channels and Production houses in Mumbai and all over India. I also had many international students from Nigeria, Nepal, Bhutan,Europe and USA.
I also have a passion of film making and have also Directed many short films and have won many awards for that.

"Mr. Yogesh Sharma is a highly qualified, knowledgeable and professional trainer in editing and film-making. I am very passionate about acting and film making and have been doing short films before, but was not independent at the post production stage. Here's when I sought professional training. After training from Yogesh Sir, I have not only learned editing well, but also different things about film-making that I never knew. Advantage of learning from him is that I got a lot of raw footages to work on, all the workstations hd licensed applications, and I was being given personal attention all the while. He also motivates me to explore my ideas on creativity. During training I have made a 5 minute trailer of a film, and created my own music album from a film, which I can showcase as my show reel. While teaching he would share his life experience in this creative industry because of which I learned how mistakes could be avoided and work perfectly. Thanks a lot Yogesh Sir for your valuable guidance. "

How many years of Video Editing course I need to do to open a studio on my own?

There is no end to learn it, but yes to be a professional you need atleast three months training then internship, then work as an assistant with a good editor, it may take an year or two for you to understand the details if you work full time and dedicated for this two years, rest depends on your luck... ...more

How adobe premiere is different from final cut pro?

Difference is in interface and shortcut keys,.. just a little bit of difference in operating the system... Editing is not related to software, it is related to your skill how you edited, no matter whatever the software is(professonal) its the editor who edits and how he edits.... Premiere or FCP or... ...more
