I am a guitarist, I've been playing for 10 years . I have one year of Teaching Experience. I have been playing the guitar and sing along for quite a few days. Now I want to improve my vocals as I am not classically trained. Will it be advisable for me as a working person who has some free time due to the pandemic?

Definitely! It would help if you started by matching your pitch with everything you play on the guitar. Work on basic exercises like singing the scale ascending & descending with correct pitch.
