Ron Pereira

Ron Ashton Pereira has been playing the violin for over 20 years and been a violin teacher for approximately 8 years teaching in private and group lesson environments. He has completed his Grade 8 in Violin Performance from Trinity Guildhall, London and is currently pursuing his Diploma in Violin (ATCL).

Ron has experience playing in the 1st & 2nd violin sections in Orchestras for many years.
He has been an active member of the Bombay Chamber Orchestra since the age of 16 and has played in orchestras abroad namely the Manawatu Sinfonia and Manawatu Youth Orchestra. Apart from this, he is part of many other musical set-ups ranging from string ensembles, choirs and bands over a number of genres. Ron also has a Pop/Rock album with one of his bands from Mumbai and the band is currently working on their 2nd album which is due for release in 2020.

Besides the Violin, Ron is equally proficient at playing the Acoustic and Electric Guitar, Ukulele, Mouth-organ, Drums & various other percussion instruments and enjoys singing too. He believes that music is a spiritual thing, that comes from the soul and that musical instruments are not just instruments but rather an extension to our body which we use to express our deepest feelings and emotions.
