Ramanand Bhagat

● Worked for eight years as an illustrator at India Book House, Mumbai, from 1983 to 1991.
● Created biographical comics (graphic novels) on eminent Indian personalities like G.D.A. Birla and Narayan Guru as also comics on subjects like the Indus Valley Civilization, for Amar Chitra Katha.
● Created fictional characters for the popular comic book “Tinkle” published by India Book House Publishers Ltd, Mumbai.
● Worked as an ‘Animator’ for Edit ll Productions in 2000.
● Designed a syllabus for professional diploma in 3d animation and visual effects (PB3D) Class for MAAC 2003.
● Handled successfully clay modelling workshops at MAAC Franchise in Mumbai and other part of India.
* Digitally illustrated three books and published in USA by WORLD HINDU COUNCIL OF AMERICA
On Indian Culture and Mythology.



Awards

• Won the coveted Goa State Art Award (student Category) in 1981.

• Won the NATIONAL AWARD for children’s literature from National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) in the year 2000.

• Won the reputed award for MILLENNIUM ALL INDIA ART EXHIBITION
Phase-2 sponsored by All India Fine Arts and Craft Society organized in collaboration with the Kala Academy in the year 2000.


Teaching Experience


• Worked as a faculty member in illustration at GOA COLLEGE OF ART in Goa, 1997 to 2001.

• Former Assistant Professor at RACHANA COLLEGE OF ART & CRAFT, Mumbai (affiliated to Mumbai University) from 2002 till October 2022.
