Prashaa Nritya Academy

Prashaa Nritya Academy has been founded by Pallavi Shome, an experienced exponent of the classical dance form Kathak.

Pallavi was inclined towards dance from an early age and started her training at the age of seven from Kathak Kendra in Delhi. She then underwent rigourous training for 13 years under the tutelage of esteemed gurus - Guru Munna Lal Shukla, Guru Reba Vidyarthi and Guru Bharti Gupta.

Pallavi's work expresses the delicacies and daintiness of the Lucknow Gharana. Her dance is very traditional and classical but at the same time has the stamp of her strong self-expression. She brings her rich experience to Prashaa and her Vision of Prashaa Nritya Academy is to propagate and nurture the beautiful art form of "kathak" and take it to the wider audience. Prashaa also provides a platform to young and budding artists from other art forms to showcase their talent.
