Hi,
The Japanese language has five levels like JLPT N5, N4, N3, N2 and N1. If we talk about the N5 level, it includes scripts, reading, writing and listening to the Japanese language. It's an 80-100 hours course, and the book I refer to is "Minna no Nihongo", which covers 1- 25 chapters. Same for N4 or N3, it will take at least 80-100 hours for each level. For job purposes, you should go at least till N3.
Thanks!

Hi,
You can learn the Japanese language from any institute or tutor. It's not compulsory to give JLPT N5 exam As you can directly enrol for JLPT N3, N2 or N1. For job purposes, you should do at least JLPT N3 or N2.
But if you go with N5, it will give you an idea about how much you know in Japanese, at what level you are at present, and give you an idea about the JLPT exam pattern.
So I suggest you should give JLPT N5 and N4.
Thanks!
