The biggest challenge in communication is the feeling of being a handicap when you are communicating with others, and the only way to get that fear released is by talking to people. Make a list of people you fear talking to. Create a script for a conversation with each of them. Then, push yourself into the initiation of the conversation. Just call them or speak to them face to face if they are available. Do it like an assignment. No matter how many tips and strategies you try, there is no other way out than diving into the pond if you want to learn swimming. The same goes for communication. You can practice before speaking, but you have to talk to be able to gain confidence. Communication skills are more a problem of confidence than of language, style, or presentation.

1. Speak as much as in English as you can and preferably join a group of English learners. If you have a smartphone, there are many learner groups you can join for this practice.
2. Watch English movies and listen to English songs. Watch movies with captions ON and when listening to a song, keep the lyrics with you so you can understand it.
3. Read Books on grammar - 1) Grammar rules! by Mary Schatz 2) English Grammar: Step by Step by Elizabeth Weal 3) English for everyone by Diane Hall. You can find these books online for free and can download PDF copies.
4. Record what you speak and listen to it. Make note of your mistakes and speak again to record again. Keep practicing it dairy for a few minutes.
5. When you read books, read them aloud so you can hear yourself. Once your ear gets used to listening to the right words, you will be able to recognize right from wrong. The benefit of reading allowed is also that you would not go wrong in speaking.

Learning comes in two phases - you listen and then you practice. In an online video, you only do the first part so if you really want to learn from them, you need to push yourself into practice. With sincerity, you can obviously do that but this approach is recommended for the learners who mostly self-motivated. If you have been an academic scholar througout who loved to study without having your parents to push you, go for it. However, if you have not been a self-propeller, it would be wiser to have some one push you into doing things. An online tutor would serve you as your guide, will give you an opportunity to ask questions, practical actual talk, and get expert advise on places you may get stuck. Learning through videos is more engaging than learning from books but unless you are a brilliant self-paced learner, they would do the same job as books. So, it is you who has to decide which mode of learning is most suited for you.

With practical and knowledge of fundamentals of not just the grammar but conversation skills can help you improve your communication skills. Communication skills is not just about having a good command over language but it has more to it and you may need to learn and practice to improve your thinking skills, listening skills, confidence, organizing of thoughts, logic and critical thinking. You can definitely learn to communicate better online but the onus of actual practice would be on you. Carefully chosen guide can help you not just with the fundamentals but also indulge you into an actual communication practice. Regarding fee, the structure of the course and the skills of the tutor would determine the fee. As rightly suggested by Kanha in his comment, it can be in the range of 400 to 500 per hour which would be lot less than what a traditional course pattern has to offer you. Feel free to connect with me on the personal window, if you have any more questions on this.
