“Vocal Music” is referred to when someone “sings” a song with one's voice (that's how it is “vocal”).
“Hindustani Music” is one of the primary styles of music that is cultivated in India. So, if anyone sings a song in Hindustani style, it's called “Hindustani Vocal Music”.
Now, I assume that you wanna know something more than just the literal meaning of the phrase “Hindustani vocal music”. So, please allow me to share a few interesting facts.
Hindustani Music is one of the two primary styles cultured in India (the other style being “Carnatic”). Hindustani Music has been created by our ancestors in an extremely scientific and natural way — as many raagas represent the “mood or sense” of mother nature. For example, when you listen to raag “Megh”, you can feel the rainy season (“megh” means “cloud”). And the Hindustani Music can take you out of the world, it's an amazing feeling when you can just feel or sense the music. The sounds here produce certain vibrations that can heal ailments and produce a divinely atmosphere.
If you like listening to Hindustani Music, it means that you are already special and blessed and if you can sing or play instruments in Hindustani Music (or Carnatic music or in any other style of music), then you are super blessed :). Just one request, please prohibit yourself from being compared with others — music gets its true meaning when it unites, not when we use it to devide.
Happy learning/listening/practicing music (of any kind) :)
